January 07, 2013

Olivet University's Theological College & Seminary (OTCS) welcomed Dr. Creig Marlowe who recently joined Olivet's faculty as an Old Testament professor. Dr. Marlowe began teaching Old Testament III: Poetic and Wisdom Literature on Monday as the new quarter began.

The course is the third part of the Old Testament series in the school’s Master of Divinity program, exploring key theological themes from the Psalms and Wisdom Books in light of ancient near east wisdom literature.

"We are very pleased to have Dr. Marlowe to teach Old Testament," said Jonathan Park, the program director of OTCS.

"His academic background and research will be very beneficial to our Olivet University students," Park added.

Dr. Marlowe received his Ph.D. in Old Testament Studies at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary and did Post-doctoral seminars at University of Leiden. He has served or still serving at academic institutions such as Evangelical Theological Faculty in Leuven, Tyndale Theological Seminary, Kiev Christian University, and Mid-South Bible College. Dr. Marlowe has also created online courses for Olivet, including Introduction to Academic Biblical Studies and Introduction to Biblical Hebrews.
