Florida Commission for Independent Education
OTCS Orlando Campus operates in the State of Florida under a religious exemption, as allowed by Florida Statute 1005.06 (1)(f), and does not fall under governmental oversight. The university’s status is verified annually, with the most recent verification letter issued by the Florida Department of Education Commission for Independent Education on June 4, 2025, valid for one year.
Accreditation by the Association for Biblical Higher Education
All the degree programs offered at OTCS Orlando are accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education as part of Institutional Accreditation of Olivet University.
The ABHE Commission on Accreditation has issued Olivet University an Order to Show Cause why its accreditation should be continued. An institution retains its accreditation status with the Commission on Accreditation while under Show Cause Order. The maximum time permitted for a Show Cause Order is one year. Failure to comply with the following specific accreditation standard(s) by the deadline imposed by the Commission on Accreditation will result in removal of the institution’s status with the Commission on Accreditation.
The COA cited the following Standards and deficiencies in the show cause action letter: The Condition of Eligibility 3; Standard 3: EE2; Standard 1: EE 1, 2; and Standard 2: EE 3.
